I've been struggling with a painting of a river bend for over a month now, so I decided to go back to what I do well just to get my bearings again. I've wanted to do a painting of cottonwood because of the character a cottonwood has on it's bark. Recently had a big retail stalking the bird feeder recently too, so it is a natural addition to this late fall scene. Now back to my river bend!
